Looking for a new companion? Whether getting a dog for the first time or adding a second or third dog to your family to provide more stimulation and fun for existing pets, why pay a breeder or worse a puppy mill? So many dogs are desperate for a loving forever home. But which of the thousands to adopt? Written information and photographs on the internet only provide part of the story. There is no need to adopt a dog from far away without first meeting her. Come to our Pawtectors adoption days and interact with pre-screened, lovable and adorable dogs just waiting for your love. Talk to foster families who know the dogs and can help you find a dog to match your lifestyle.

Pawtectors is a Southington-based not-for-profit, no-kill, animal rescue, operated by dedicated volunteers who work hard to place abandoned, abused, or shelter dogs on death row into loving homes. Adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test, prevention and/or treatment, spay/neuter (typically at 6 months and older), transport to CT, and in many cases, other needed vet care. Dogs are socialized, trained, and cared for by foster families until they are placed into forever homes. All of our dogs are temperament tested before placement.

Prospective families must complete an application process, including home visit, before they can take an animal home.
